erroltips winners board: round 9

WHAT A SHIT WEEK. As you all know, there were only 4 games this round and they were all toughies to pick. Personally, I have the Storm to thank for my ONE CORRECT TIP. One! Sigh. This must be how the Sharks feel.

We would also like to thank B.Moz for his awesome 4 tries. We like to think he was doing it just for us, all “C’mon Brett, the Errol girls would’ve tipped you, get another try in there for them. I wonder if they like my new haircut?” (we do). Didn’t help the Dragons win, but it’s the thought that counts. Thanks Bretty!

Our leaderboard is still full of dirty Queenslanders bar Rusty, who will be thrilled by his appearance  in the official winner’s list. For realz this time, not just because Sassy got confused and did a top 5 when it’s been a top 4 all along. We are so profesh.

    sim i’m actually having a night at home to watch both fri night games with my dad and brother (he is a titans fan). i am so cool. sassy and i are going to the bunnies and the tigers game with some friends who are tigers fans though.

    Just venting here because it’s the most recent post and there’s no Dragons-Bulldogs post yet:

    WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? WHAT THE HELL? Is the video ref blind? Did some bookie chuck him a few fifty-buck notes? That is the most ridiculous decision I have seen in years of following rugby league, and I have seen many ridiculous decisions from the professional clowns we call video refs. How absolutely idiotic.

    So I was live at the brand spanking new OKI Jubilee – and yes, that try probably should have been allowed. But really, the Bulldogs didn’t deserve to win after dropping the ball 10354365948098 times in the first half!!!! And poor little Jamie had to play 3 games in one week AND is getting sprayed for being a cheater!

    Oh and apparently, my bf told me that Steve Clark (the video ref last night who disallowed Idris’ try) had been accused of hating the Dragons cos he always penalised them heaps and they almost always lost when he was referee!

    I wish I could have gone last night, but the stupid thing sold out. (Possibly a good thing because I almost had a coronary screaming at the TV after Clark made that decision, so if I’d actually been there I probably would have had to be taken away in an ambulance.)

    We definitely suffered from our continuing problems with hanging onto the ball – maybe I should email Kevvy Moore and tell him to put glue on their hands – but the fact that our defence was so strong that we stayed in the game despite having about 3% possession is pretty impressive to my mind. If the St George attack was higher quality they could have put the game away in the first half with that much possession.
